Testimonies
Accounts of people who learned that suffering was not the end, but the beginning of new life in Jesus.
The Big Questions
If God is loving, why doesn’t He stop all evil and pain?
The Bible teaches that God created a good world, but sin brought brokenness, suffering, and death (Genesis 3)
Evil and pain exist because people misuse the free will God gave us. Yet God has not abandoned us. He entered our broken world through Jesus, who suffered with us and for us. On the cross, He defeated sin and death, and one day He will remove all pain forever (Revelation 21:4)
Until then, He uses even our struggles to draw us closer to Him and to show His love, comfort, and hope. Love requires free will. God does not create evil, but He allows choice. Without freedom, love would not be real. Our broken choices bring pain, but God’s plan is to redeem it through Jesus.
Where is God when I’m hurting?
The Bible says, ‘The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit’ (Psalm 34:18)
Jesus doesn’t watch your pain from a distance, He stepped into it Himself. He knows what it feels like to be betrayed, rejected, misunderstood, and even to face death.
That means when you are hurting, He truly understands. He is not waiting for you to get stronger first, He meets you right where you are. In His presence, your suffering has meaning, your tears are seen, and your broken heart can be healed. The same Jesus who carried the cross now carries you, offering comfort, peace, and hope that nothing in this world can take away.
Why doesn’t God just fix everything now?
The Bible shows that God is patient and has a bigger plan than we can always see. He created a good world, but sin brought pain and brokenness. If God removed all evil right now, He would also have to remove our freedom to choose, and without real choice, love would not be real.
Instead, God stepped into our broken world through Jesus. On the cross He defeated sin and death, and one day He will make all things new (Revelation 21:4)
Until then, He allows time for more people to turn to Him, because He does not want anyone to be lost (2 Peter 3:9) This verse reveals the heartbeat of God. He has not ended evil yet because He loves you. He is holding the door open. His delay is not absence, it is mercy. One day the door will close, but today it is wide open.
Can anything good come out of suffering?
Yes. The Bible shows that God can bring purpose out of pain. Suffering was never part of God’s original design, but in a broken world He uses it to shape us, draw us closer to Him, and bring hope to others.
Romans 8:28 says,“God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God.”
Through suffering we often discover strength we never knew we had, compassion for others who are hurting, and a deeper dependence on Jesus. The cross is the greatest example. Out of the worst suffering came the greatest gift, salvation for the world.

If God Is Loving, Why Is the World So Broken?
We’ve been there, angry, confused, and heartbroken.
It’s the question we’ve all asked, and there is an answer.
The Gospels
If you’ve ever wondered where God is in the middle of tragedy, loss, or injustice, the answer is found in the Gospels. These are the first four books of the New Testament.
