Testimonies
Testimonies of seekers who discovered that the light they were chasing was found only in Jesus.
The Big Questions
Why does the anxiety return, and what does Jesus give that the universe cannot?
You’re feeling something real. New Age can quiet the noise and even seem to “manifest” needs for a moment, but the ache returns because techniques soothe symptoms, not the root. The universe is beautiful, yet impersonal. It cannot love you, forgive you, or hold you when panic hits at 2 a.m. Jesus can.
Why the anxiety comes back: deep down we are separated from God, carrying guilt, fear, and a longing to be known. More rituals mean more striving. Relief fades, and the treadmill starts again.
What Jesus gives that the universe cannot:
- Personal love and forgiveness. God proves His love in Christ (Romans 5:8). Jesus forgives sins and lifts shame (Luke 7:48).
- Peace that remains. “My peace I give to you… not as the world gives” (John 14:27)
- Real rest for weary hearts. “Come to Me… and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28)
- A new heart and His Spirit. Not behavior hacks, but inner change and God’s presence within (Ezekiel 36:26–27 | John 14:16–17)
- Freedom from darkness. The Son sets us free, not just managed (John 8:36)
- A living hope. His resurrection anchors your future beyond today’s feelings (1 Corinthians 15:3).
The universe can awe you, but it cannot love, forgive, or save you. Jesus can.
Why am I open to almost everything except Jesus?
That’s more common than you think. Here are honest reasons people feel open to “everything but Jesus”:
Why the resistance?
- Exclusivity stings. Jesus says He’s the way to the Father (John 14:6). Pluralism likes “many paths”; Jesus claims one Person.
- Grace offends pride. Most systems say “try harder.” Jesus says you can’t earn it, but you can receive it through His grace (Ephesians 2:8)
- Light exposes us. His love is gentle, but it names sin; that conviction is uncomfortable (John 3:19–21)
- Surrender is scary. Following Jesus means laying down control (Luke 9:23)
- Church hurt ≠ Christ. Hypocrisy wounds us, but it isn’t Jesus (1 Peter 2:22)
- Cost with family/culture. Real tension can arise (Matthew 10:37 | Romans 12:18)
- Spiritual pushback. Scripture says the enemy blinds minds (2 Corinthians 4:4 | John 8:44)
Why consider Jesus anyway?
Because your heart needs more than energy or technique. Christianity is not a stack of rituals or vibes; it centers on a Person who loves you and on a public event in history: Jesus’ death for our sins and His resurrection. Crystals, cards, and the cosmos can inspire for a moment, but they cannot forgive, make you new, or give peace that remains. Only Jesus can. He offers peace the world cannot give and real reconciliation with God.
Read the Gospel of John this week.
Ask: What does Jesus claim? What kind of peace does He offer? Note anything that stirs your heart.
Who is the power behind what I call energy, guides, or ancestors, and can that power love me back?
“Energy” and the “universe” are part of creation, not a person. Impersonal power cannot love you back.
The Bible says the personal Source behind everything good is God, revealed in Jesus, and the Holy Spirit (John 1:3 | Colossians 1:16–17). It also warns that deceptive spirits can pose as light or “guides” (2 Corinthians 11:14 | 1 John 4:1). Only God truly loves you and can give real peace.
What Scripture says about the source of power
Creator vs. creation
God made all things and sustains them (Genesis 1:1 | Acts 17:24–28 | Colossians 1:16–17). Creation has power, but it is not God.
God is personal love
“God is love” and He showed it through Jesus on the cross (1 John 4:8 | John 3:16 | Romans 5:8).
Test the spirits
Not every spiritual encounter is safe or true (1 John 4:1 | 2 Corinthians 11:14).
No contacting the dead
Seeking “ancestors” or spirits is forbidden because it opens doors to deception (Deuteronomy 18:10–12 | Isaiah 8:19).
Real battle, real authority
Our struggle is spiritual, and Jesus has authority over darkness (Ephesians 6:12 | Mark 1:27 | Colossians 2:15)
Can that power love me back?
Impersonal energy
Cannot know you, forgive you, or embrace you.
Spirits posing as guides
May feel comforting, but they do not give holy, lasting peace and they cannot forgive sin.
Jesus, the Creator
The One who became human to rescue you. He forgives, gives His Spirit, and offers peace that remains (John 14:27 | John 8:36 | Titus 3:5)
Can Jesus really meet the hunger I’ve tried to fill elsewhere?
Yes. Jesus can meet the hunger nothing else could touch.
We all try to fill it with success, spirituality, relationships, or control, but the ache stays because it is a God-sized hunger. Jesus does not offer another technique; He offers Himself.
- “I am the bread of life; he who comes to Me will not hunger.” (John 6:35)
- “Whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never thirst.” (John 4:13–14)
- “Come to Me… and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28–29)
- “He satisfies the longing soul.” (Psalm 107:9)
What changes when you come to Him?
- Forgiveness replaces guilt (Romans 5:1)
- His Spirit fills the empty places (Ezekiel 36:26–27)
- His peace remains when the practices fade (John 14:27)

What If You Just Asked?
Just say, ‘Jesus, if You are real, show me.’
That’s it. No rituals, no striving. Just an honest question.
Many people have started there, and He answered.
The Gospels
If you’ve been drawn to energy, spirituality, or the idea of the universe speaking, the Gospels show you the Person behind it all. These are the first four books of the New Testament.
Each one reveals Jesus in a unique way. They are encounters with the living Jesus, the One your soul has been searching for.

How Do I Give My Life to Jesus
Jesus offers what no energy or ritual can: forgiveness, freedom, and new life. If you believe He came, died, and rose again for your sins, today can be the day you step into His salvation.
