Real people, real sins, and the real grace of Jesus that changes everything.

The Big Questions

Can God really forgive everything I’ve done?

Yes, God can forgive everything you have done.

That is the heart of the Gospel. Scripture says no sin is too great for Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross. When He said, “It is finished” (John 19:30), He meant the full debt of sin, past, present, and future, was paid.

  • 1 John 1:9 (NASB1995): “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
  • Isaiah 1:18: “Though your sins are as scarlet, they will be as white as snow.”
  • Romans 8:1: “Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”

The only sin Scripture describes as unforgivable is the lifelong rejection of the Holy Spirit’s witness to Jesus (Matthew 12:31–32) In other words, as long as you come to God in repentance and faith in Jesus, forgiveness is available.

Jesus showed this clearly. He forgave the thief on the cross in his last moments (Luke 23:43). He forgave those who crucified Him (Luke 23:34). He forgave Paul, who once persecuted Christians (1 Timothy 1:15–16)

What if I keep messing up?

Following Jesus isn’t about being perfect. It’s about being forgiven. His mercy meets us every time we fall.

We all stumble, even after coming to Jesus. The Bible says, “for a righteous man falls seven times, and rises again” (Proverbs 24:16). The point is not perfection but persistence in coming back to God.

  • 1 John 2:1: “My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.”
  • Psalm 103:12: “As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.”

When you mess up, it does not cancel your salvation. God’s grace covers you, and His Spirit works in you to make you stronger over time. Think of it like walking with Him. Sometimes you trip, but He picks you up, brushes you off, and keeps guiding you forward.

The important part is to keep repenting, keep trusting Jesus, and keep moving closer to Him. You are not saved because you never fail, you are saved because Jesus never fails.

Doesn’t God get tired of me failing?

No. His love is patient and unending. He is patient and full of mercy. The Bible says, “The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in lovingkindness” (Psalm 103:8) His love does not run out, and His forgiveness is greater than your failures.

Think of the prodigal son in Luke 15. The father ran to meet him, hugged him, and welcomed him home even after all his mistakes. That is God’s heart toward you.

He does not excuse sin, but He never stops loving you. He is committed to finishing the good work He started in you (Philippians 1:6)

How can I know for sure I’m forgiven?

The cross is proof. Jesus paid for your sin in full. When He rose again, He proved your debt was gone forever.

You can be certain because God promises forgiveness in His Word. The Bible says,“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9) Your forgiveness is not based on feelings but on God’s unchanging promise. If you have turned to Jesus, confessed your sins, and trusted Him as Lord, then you are fully forgiven and made new.
